CentraLine is known as Honeywell's partner brand for integrated building management and is one of the fastest growing brands in this sector. For over a decade, it has been offering systems that are precisely tailored to the demands of commercial, public, and mixed-usage buildings across Europe.

Integrated building management

CentraLine's core competency is integrated building management. The brand stands for tailored, intelligent solutions for office buildings, schools, shops, hotels, universities, mixed-usage buildings, and many other facilities of all sizes. CentraLine solutions are based on leading Honeywell technology, such as the Niagara framework, enabling truly integrated building management – from HVAC control, lighting and shading, access control, fire alarm systems, closed-circuit television (CCTV), lifts, elevators, etc. through to complete energy management solutions. The focus is on optimizing energy consumption by networking the various different systems within a building.

The partner network

The partner concept is a fundamental pillar of the CentraLine strategy. The brand distributes its solutions via more than 600 highly qualified partners in the EMEA region. The major benefit of the partnership principle is that customers are assured flexible and professional support close to them. This enables CentraLine to honor its slogan 'close to you' in more than 40 countries. All partners are experienced specialists in building control systems who regularly attend training sessions so that they are always up-to-date with the latest technical developments. They are supported by committed teams from technical support, engineering, sales, and marketing from CentraLine. In return, the CentraLine product developers benefit from the many suggestions they receive directly from users. Thanks to this direct feedback, CentraLine products can be constantly improved and adapted to market requirements.

The roots

The name CentraLine is derived from the German brand Centra. In 1930, the 'Zentra' mixing valve for central heating systems revolutionized the industry. Acquired by Honeywell in 1984, the Centra site in Schoenaich near Stuttgart rose to become one of the company's leading research and development centers. Due to growing demand, Honeywell founded a partner brand for the EMEA region (Europe, Middle-East, Africa) in 2004: CentraLine was born and was launched with 65 partners in Germany, Great Britain, France, and the Netherlands. Two years later, the countries of Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Romania, Ukraine, Lithuania, and Russia followed. Today, over 600 partners in more than 40 countries distribute CentraLine solutions.

CentraLine introduces powerful HAWK 8000 controller

CentraLine expands its connected building portfolio. With HAWK 8000, Honeywell’s partner brand offers a powerful controller for the Internet of Things (IoT) and a server platform for the integration of all applications (HVAC and non-HVAC) within a building.

New NX system platform
HAWK 8000 not only offers a simplified programming and installation as well as an easy operation based on the new CentraLine NX system platform, but more processor power and integrated data points as well.
The controller offers integrated building management with monitoring, data acquisition, alerting, scheduling, and comprehensive network management. Thanks to the built-in web server, Wi-Fi components, and HTML 5 standard, all of the information, including easy-to-understand visuals, can be handled via Ethernet connection, Wi-Fi, or remote access and standard browsers.
The connection of up to four pluggable communication modules adds up to five more communication buses to the already existing Ethernet and two communication interfaces.

CentraLine NX extensions
The CentraLine NX system includes extensions, which increase the efficiency of a building, improves the efficiency of its commissioning and operation and protects past investments:

  • Significantly increased energy efficiency with an application library that provides tested and documented components for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, cooling and room integration.
  • Reduced cost for the integration of lighting and sun-blinds/shutters by direct connection to the wireless and battery-free EnOcean portfolio.
  • Maximum transparency and management of energy usage, a well as reduction of operating expenses through CentraLine’s comprehensive energy management suite ENERGY VISION.
  • Re-use of the proven Honeywell Panel-Bus IO system, for fast and safe control, from small appliances to large facilities.
  • Protection of past investments by seamlessly integrating existing Honeywell C-Bus installations.

New supervisor ARENA NX by CentraLine

CentraLine, Honeywell’s partner brand for integrated building management, introduces a new generation of connected building management systems with the supervisor ARENA NX. The easy operation of complex facilities, extensive possibilities for data acquisition and evaluation across HVAC and non-HVAC systems in a building, as well as interdisciplinary automation strategies increase comfort, while at the same time energy and maintenance costs are reduced. Comprehensive integration possibilities for building technology communication protocols as well as the support of the latest visualization and control standards are the basis for this.
